Can a 99-00 Si cluster go into an EG hatch?

Can a 99-00 Si cluster go into an EG hatch?

I searched and came up with nothing. Can this be done with little to no modifications?

My buddy swapped a 99 Si cluster into his 94 hatch, but had rewire the plugs, and his sits tilted back a little, but I'm sure that could be fixed with some effort. He said it wasn't that hard, but you have to be good at that type of work.
