That is total crap. Guys who profit off stolen parts are complete ****. I would say all the racing orgs should ban anyone with a felony from competing. They should erase his name from any record books since any racing success was probably gianed from money that was made from this. This guy and anyone like him aren't fit to breath!
Ok I'm done.
P.S. Turbo needs to have something in the next issue on this guy telling the truth!

Man that car was awesome. The white, layed-back headlight Turbo. I remember seeing pictures of that car doing 65-degree wheelstands. A Porsche rear-engine layout gives awesome traction. It's hard to imagine a more ideal drag-supercar than a 911 Turbo or GT2.
Umm, maybe it's just me, but that article said he was charged, not convicted. What happened to innocent until proven guilty? I mean, I realise that, that article is old, but what if he didn't have anything to do with it? As far as recovering porsche engines, I could see there being porsche engines there, that's what he raced, with the serial numbers defaced? I'd be willing to bet that there is a certian percentage of ppl who frequent this board regularly, that have no serial numbers on their motors legitimately. I'm not defending the person, just the fact, that he may have been innocent, I read nothing of a conviction. Sorry, and no flame intended.

I hate to say it D man, but I have seen many motors in race cars that have no serial numbers, or block stamps, and the motors were purchased legitimately. Ever heard of secrecy? There areppl out there, that don't want anyone else to know what they have. So they go and peel off all stickers, and grind off the block stamps. Actually there was a thread on here, called what should I name my block? For the guy who referred to what I said about motors having no ID tags on them, I was not meaning to say anyone on here had stolen motors, nor would I intend to say that anyone on here is a thief. D Man, I'm sorry if it seemed that, that was what I was saying. I didn't intend to come across like that. Also where is it illegal to remove serial numbers from your RACE motor?

Anytime you remove those numbers its illegal,if its a race motor or not,if its an OEM block.I've seen at Englishtown raceway,NJ state troopers checking peoples cars and vins and hauling some of them away for have stolen stuff. In NYC they have a special group of cops called the Auto Crime Unit that goes around pulling over lots of Modded Honda/Acuras just to get those numbers and now the regular cops are starting to do the same thing, its a big problem.
But people like me who bought brand new new motor from Honda dealership will have no vin tag, so am I illegal? NO. I guess long as you have the paper work it's fine. So, before calling out stolen motors, make sure they don't have paper works.
I have always worred about getting hassled about the JDM b20b block not having the vin under the header.
people that steal are pieces of ****!

damn, all this is starting to worry me, i bought a tranny of a friend from a junkyard, and it didnt have a vin tag on it, but it had papers, (which i unfortunately, lost) and now the place is no longer in business, what do i DO?? and BTW, i race at englishtown all the tiem, and didnt see any troppers checking anything, but judging by my luck, they will start when i debut my car
