Default need some help with my gsr

I just recently got a 2000 GSR 2dr. The car only has 30k miles on it and is acura certified. I just had the windsheild replaced because it was pitted. Im kinda new to cars so i dont know where i should start when it comes to performance mods or add-ons.

Some of my friends are telling me to first lower the car or to have the front repainted (its slightly pitted). Others are telling me to add CAI or exhaust stuff.

I dont have alot fo cash right now to spend on the car as im going broke with the payments. Given a $1500 budget (thats how much i have on hand right now) what should i do to the car? Please be specific because like i said im new to this. I do know the basics tho.

Thanks for the help

Honestly.

Since its a new car to you, drive it around and enjoy it and from there decide if you want to mod it or not.

Maybe you want to get rid of some body roll=Aftermarket higher springs/rate

Match the springs with good shocks.

You will Eventually kill your stock shocks with the car sitting lower and higher spring rates, And have a uncomfortable ride.

Also consider the fact that you will have to get an alignment and possible a camber kit to correct the alinment if you care about your tires.

If you like noise and minimal performance gains get an exhaust.

An Intake is ok (CAI is good) Very Simple Mod. Not much Gains.

Save your cash, make a nice payment towards the car.
Thats just me.

PS -If the car only has 30k original miles, the Front should not look to terrible bad UNLESS we are talking about some severe raod damage here.

i think the guy who owned it before me did alot of freeway driving, its just small pits which can only be seen in direct light. Some piuts go to the metal, iim just worried about rust.

Are comptech coilovers anygood?

As for exhaust whats a good 4 2 1 header, a and b pipe? What about pipe size? Thanks

I would definately educate yourself more. There is so much to talk about, that it's almost impossible to pick out something for a noobie to do without talking about different things for hours.

Oh and if you don't have a lot of money, save it for car payments and insurance, like it was mentioned. Actually, save for a good anti theft device (car alarm, wheel locks, Auto- loc). There are some horror stories out there about stolen tegs.
