Default Keeping plastic black

Does anyone have a recommendation on how to keep the moldings black. I've used mothers back to black before but it didn't really last too long. thanks

I've always had great luck just using the Tire Wet stuff that I use on my tires on my black trim. Usually lasts a nice long time.
