Whats up with Integra's are they all this slow
I was in my Dad's 2001 F-150 x-cab 4x4 going to school and I was running late! This guy I kinda know from school he was behide me and when the light turned red he pulled up beside me. I smiled to him and he smiled back and he roled his window down and I asked him lets race he said ok, we took off and he was at my back bumper at 45 and very slowly falling behind. He has a 1996 2-door 5-speed integra with the coffie can! When I got into the paking lot he told me that he could not believe how fast my dad's truck was. I asked him if he could drive well and he said "yes" but my car is not all that fast. I thought Interga's were faster then a 5.4L F-150.

1. driver sucks
2. car is either a bone stock ls, rs, whatever...nonvtec
3. torque?
4. Racing on the street
5. oh, did i mention, driver sucks?!
not to hate on your friend or you, but please dont race on the streets! Is it worth endangering other people's life's? Your in a big *** truck, your buddy is in a "coffie can" now who would get owned if you had to swerve to miss a pedestrian? think about the consequences before you do it......
just some advice from personal experience.....

My mom is a manager at a ford dealership so we always have new cars in our driveway (for her) and for awhile we had a brand new f150 and that truck was soooo slow lol . It was wicked for drifting in the snow and rain though
An LS runs around 16 seconds stock. If you consider that fast, i dunno what to tell ya. Also a coffee can tip doesn't make an integra any faster. Usually the fastest street driven integras run stock mufflers as to not attract so much attention. The bling factor is usually for the slower cars.
Probably was an LS. I'me not sure of the kind of truck you're talking about but if it's that big and has that much torque, I could see it beating a base model Integra.
Your friend either was driving an automatic, or didnt know how to shift gears.
Your english surely needs improvement as well.
Speed isnt anything. Try driving through a slalom with your truck and see how fast an automatic integra can dust you. Kids only know about speed.

a 5.4L F-150 according to ford makes 260HP and 350 ft/lb of torque. torque is what accelerates you... my dad's F-250 with a 460 big block runs mid 14s at the drag strip on street tires and a second gear launch (too much torque for 1st gear, it simply spins for the first 60 ft). that's with headers, intake, and a chip, and a 6000lb truck. i also saw a stock F-150 Lightning the same night run mid-low 12s, with 385HP and 460 ft/lb of torque... so i figure a stock F-150 should be able to run 14s (less weight equaling out less torque vs. F-250). a stock integra LS/RS/GS should run 14s also (based on what others have said, and what i've seen 140HP compacts do at the strip). the rest is usually do to launch, driver's skill, etc... it's not an exact science. all in all, i'd say an 5.4L F-150 would be a good match against a base model integra.

Man, WTF are you smoking? a stock LS/RS/GS running 14s?? Sorry bud, but most Type-Rs I've seen run high 14s. Most of us on this board do not consider our cars to be "that" fast, especially stock.

guess i'm wrong. just checked out caranddriver.com, and they say that an F-150 SuperCrew Cab XL with a 5.4L runs a standing quarter mile of 17.0 seconds.

F-150 5.4L V8 don't scare me at all. Bring 'em ON!!
The driver must of suck or the car was a auto riding on 3 cylinders.
and this thread hasn't been locked or sent to the kills forum yet?
it doesn't sound like you were asking for any technical information as to why you beat an integra, so maybe next time you could try posting it in the right forum

my bad... my friend's stock Eclipse GS ran high 14s at the strip... and it only makes about 140HP, course a little more torque. (2.0L motor) so what is considered average times for a stock integra?
