if you guys had acess to a 500 thousand dollar laser that cuts stainless, aluminum, or steel, etc. perfectly....what would you have cut, say if you wanted to sell somthing that there would be a demand for, thats not already out....say you could just lay a big 4x8 sheet of stainless steel out and have a bunch of parts run off, what would be in demand, whats there a need for in the car community,,,,(sorry if this post pisses anyone off, just looking for ideas from other people than myself)thnx.....

I dont know if it could do this but... I'd cut a **** load of turbo adaptor plates. So you could put t25 or 14b turbos on an hf manifold. People would want these for sure. Just a thought.

 

thanks for the feedback man, yea plates can be cut up to 1/2 inch thick, anything that can be cut from a sheet of any metal, nothing 3d can be cut, but can be made from a series of different cut parts....keep it coming,,,,,what can i make, im trigger happy with this laser, my dad uses it and he will run off parts for me if i need them..what else felllas......thanx

 

man..thats pretty cool that you will have that opportunity..how bout getting not-too-think aluminum, and make light weight radiator brackets (especially the ones that people with integ radiators in hatches custom make) and battery tie bars...if it looks simple and clean, i'm sure people will buy some...if the price is right...

i dont know how expensive a sheet of aluminum costs.

can you make heavy duty brackets for strut tower bars? like, just the bracket part, so people can get their own bar...just an idea

 

yea, its really cool, but i cant think of any one-off things to make for cars, my plan is to make a couple really nice quality products and put a website together and try to sell the stuff, but im stumped for unique ideas of things to make......keep em' coming tho, thanks...

 

tow hooks, radiator brackets and anything else spoon charges an arm and a leg for that can be made with this contraption.

Take a Spark plug cover and cut VTEC in it.

 

Make an aluminum dead pedal for the integra, one that fits when you remove the plastic foot support and bolts in to the holes that held the plastic foot support. Also make a metal lip protector that mounts underneath the ITR lip.
People will pay decent money for this stuff.

Hmm, Make brushed alluminum install kits for dashes. I think it would be tight to have a brushes alluminum dash kit, and brushed alluminum headunit install kit thing. Hmmm

I suggested brackets and tiedown bars and whatnot..because I'm not too clear as to what you are capable of doing on this machine....

I suggest:
Battery tiedown bar, with nice cut outs in the middle of it for civic/integ and accord
regular radiator brackets plus custom radiator bracket for peeps with integ radiator in their civic
pedals? if you can do that...
spark plugs cover for a DOHC
rigid one piece strut bars for civic/integ if you can do it

basically any accesory thats simple to design/make..cuz you really can do anything functional other than possibly strut bars/rigid bars, right??

oh, and would you concider giving a prototype for free to the person with the idea you like most?? ::hint:: ::hint::..heh...peace.
