theres a tag on the hood that says to use hood pins for safety. what is the fastest you have gone with out hood pins. i would hate having to cut two holes on a $550 hood.

 

nope i dont...and ive never had a problem...hood is very stiff and stable at higher speeds...

You don't really need it for VIS..I've gone 120 MPH without pins. They're just for extra precaution

Really? My brother has a VIS CF hood and going like 70-75mph, it looks like it's all wobbly when you look out at it. Or is that normal? Well it's not like gonna blow off yet but where the front edges are, on the sides, they seem to lift up a little every now and then from the wind when driving fast. Normal, or uhhh got jacked? There's a VIS sticker right where the hoodlatch part is too, so can anyone clarify this for me?

 

after going around 110 and seeing it wobbling around I decided to get hood pins. my friend who got the same hood, but for his prelude had his fly up just going like 30, but it was after he was in a minor accident, and I suspect something must have happened to the latch.

 

get a pin if you have a cf hood..
those sparco one looks good when it's painted black or gun metal.
and you can get those "hidden" hood pin..which looks like a fat screw

those looks good, i'd probably paint them black so they dont stand out as much, but they are a lot less noticable then the sparco. i had the sparco ones on my integra and they look good but i just want the clean look now.

 

my friend is getting from that group buy. i just couldnt wait untill feb 4 for them to get shipped and another 2 week for them to arrive. i need to get this car on the road in a hurry, or else i would have waited and get it from the group buy.

just the sides..i thought it was kinda neat, and i HATE that one screw that is located under the fender area, so i replaced it with a fastener.

 

is that screw really worth putting a shiny metal thing on your bumper? oh well to each his own

well i just thought it looked cool. it gives my bumper a lil catch to it, as it doesn't look as boring. and for some reason, i seem to always have reasons to take my front bumper off.

cant get a VIS hood on the east coast for less than $500 becuase of shipping. most are shipped from cali or florida.

 

I tell you I am in south jersey and I got mine for $350 shipped in december on a groupbuy from imoto.com. We got four hoods shipped from calif. to one location in PA to save money. Even if I hadnt got it shipped with the others, it would have only run $425. You must mean that you cant get one from a shop for under $500 because they take their $75 markup on the price it costs to get them one hood at a time. it did take me about 2 years of shopping around to find that deal though....
