Ok. Who cares? Who are you? Regarding what I spend my hard earned money on, your opinion means nothing to me. If you don't like something, don't buy it. Why a carbon hood, unpainted lip, black rims? because I LIKE IT, don't care if it's considered JDM or USDM, or Rice, or whatever other stupid acronym or name people come up with, it's MY STYLE, I build MY car the way I want to, don't like it, don't look. Btw, guess what? No matter what anybody does to their car, it's already been done before, a thousand times, deal with it.

POINT IM TRYING TO MAKE... YOU said YOU build the car the way you want it. thats fine. But the point is people talking junk about other peoples car but yet their in the same boat. If someone rolls down your street with a riced out car wouldn't you say something bad about it? I bet you will. And you said, you build your car the way you like it, what about those people that builds their car the way they like it (with atlezzas or the other rice products or whatever yall call it) its their style but yet many people will joke on their style, MY POINT, LEAVE them alone

 

I'm talking about making a comment on someones car.

 

What's the difference in making a comment about someones car and making a comment about someone making a comment about someones car?

Just out of curiousity...do you drive a riced out honda? Because every time i see a post like this on this board or another board, the person usually drives a car that is made fun of at some point or another...heres a few words for you, take them as you wish....

Rice is rice...yes, this is true, JDM is JDM, yes this is true, but in that you have to think, kids go out and see a movie like that damn fast and the furious and then immediately go out, throw an APC flame LED exhaust tip on it, a huge metal wing and call themselves ******* Stephan Papadakis, when it all comes down to taste, if a car is tasteless, your damn right im going to flame on it, wanna know why? Because it looks like ****, thats why, you can take a clean civic and make it an eyesore cheap, thats why so many people do it, because they think its all the fad, but they really just look like fools.

Now, your crying about how people that do the JDM thing are the same way, id have to disagree, 90% of JDM product, true JDM product is function over fashion, and the small percentage of true JDM equipment that is more show than go, is quality stuff, like headlights for instance, APC headlights fog up, they break, they are ****, JDM Civic Type-R headlights dont, its as simple as that man, so quit trying to be a hero...

The funniest thing to me about someone that argues this is the fact that if they saw a Kia Rio modded with APC gear, they'd laugh, hypocriticle thoughts are all to common in this hobby now days...rice is rice, rice is tasteless.

 

Just one more thing, it was said above, i dont think your in any position to decide what someone puts on their car is worthless...ill give you an example...

I purchased a VIS carbon fiber hood, no, i dont race my hatch, i have taken it to a couple of autocross events at Turner Field here in Atlanta, but other than that, its just a fun thing to work on and tinker with, back to the hood, i bought it because my stock hood had a paint defect in it called "Crows Feet" where the paint cracks causing the clear coat to crack, this civic is black and is a 2000 model, but Honda refused to paint it...so, instead of buying a new hood or having the one i have stripped down and painted, i decided to get a carbon fiber hood.

Now in that, are you going to look at my car and say "That guy is so stupid, he bought a carbon fiber hood but it really only saves him a little bit...isnt worht it." Yes you would, without knowing the reason i have it, perhaps i bought it just because i can afford to have nice things on my car, who cares? When i start taking in account what everyone wants and basing every single mod i do to my civic on what other people think is cool, it will be time for me to get out of the hobby and start collecting stamps or something.

 

this is more or less what it comes down to.....
you are on a forum where people like to tell you what they think, that is encouraged here. So if you want to tell people not to speak their minds about the cars on this board, why dont you just get the **** out and leave us all alone

Ok, but keep in mind, this is message board, people are going to state their opinions. The fact that you don't agree with what someone says, can be the start of a discussion, making the board more interesting. I understand what you're saying, leave the altezza tails and big wing people alone, it's their car, but if I, or anybody for that matter, says nothing about anybody else's car, then this board wouldn't be as interesting/entertaining. I am however, sick of seeing "look at this pos" threads that give you a link to an ebay auction with a so called ricer car for sale, it's old, we get it, some people make "different" choices with their cars, move on. My car is pretty simple, but I know people talk **** about it regulary, yes, my lip, hood, and wheels are black, that's what I like, so that's what I got. Don't like it? Oh well, have a good day, I won't lose any sleep over it, and neither should the so called ricers.
