im putting d16a1(88-89 integra) pistons on my d16z6 motor along with 97 integra ls rods i dont know what specs i should get the block done to i have never acually built a motor before and im not shure what specs i give the machine shop.

another question is: do i get the rings for the a1 pistons for the standered bore fore that engine? i know the cc of the a1 is more than the cc of the z6

anything i should know before ordering pistons and takeing my block to get worked?

I realize this doesn't answer your post, but why are you using the a1 pistons, as opposed to the z6?

I would use the z6 rings, in either case, though. (There's TurboPanda, or someone, in the FI forum that sells Supra pistons for use on modified B-series rods in teh d16z6 and I think he uses the d-series rings..., if that helpe at all?)

 

the a1 pistons used in combination with a z6 head and a y8 headgasket yeild a 11.5:1 cr thats why im useing them and this is a d series motor were talking about here d16a1 pistons going in the d16z6

can anyone offer any suggestions?
