i have a f22b droped in my 92 lude. Its and dohc and i heard that it is almostthe same thing as the h23,i was just wondering if anyone else knows anything about this engine and if it has almost the same interior and exterior. The only reason this engine was droped in cuz the guy before me blew the h23,and they droped it in to make the car run. I hve been putting on h23 parts and now im wondering if the ecu are the same or not. thanks

 

there isnt alot of information out there on this motor, it was never in the states the only thing i can tell you is yeah its like the h23 but only a 2.2 and it has no vtec ..wish i could help more

 

H23A bore 87mm
F22B bore 85mm

That's pretty much the only difference. H23 mods like headers and cams etc etc all work on the F22B. Only thing that is different is the pistions due to the bore. Crank and Rods are the same.
