I bought a 94 GSR about a month ago - car came with exactly 110,000 miles... I bought the car as a project.. first thing I was going to do was rebuild the motor, every1 here knows GSRS for the most part are BEAT on and to say one with 110,000 hasn't seen hell... it would have to have been own by an elderly person.

Anyways, making a long story short...

I did a compression test on the motor - expecting low numbers..... 215, 215, 216, 215. On the dot, I did the test 3x, once right after a mis-shift and still the same numbers. Everybody who has driven my car says it pulls harder than any GSR they've driven especially ones with hige mileage.. From other posts here those numbers are actually higher than cars out the FACTORY basically after 110,000 miles - how can this hold true?

Miles are just a number if the car has been well kept, I've tried contacting the 2 original owners wit no luck - Maybe I got lucky and bought a well kept car, or even luckier and bought one that was rebuilt with stock internals sometime in it's lifespan.. how could i tell if it has? just take it to a mechanic??

I'm really curious becuz my intentions are to go with FI sometime this year, Nitrous or turbo...

According to thoses numbers you have a very healty engine.
