Default Electrical problem.... HELP!

Hey,

I am havin a problem with my 91' CRX HF, i was wondering if you guys could help me with it

For some reason the battery on the car dies every couple of days, I checked for small drains when the car is off and there are none, the alternator still charges the battery and is good, i replaced the battery about 2 months ago

Now it's getting worse, I charged the battery with a charger to full capacity last night, I drove it to school this morning and right after i parked the car, i let the car run while i showed my friend the stereo, then the car just stalled, when i tried to start it again, the battery was completely drained, while i was sitting there, the car was on with the radio on, headlights and fog lights (4300k HID's and Catz XLO Fogs) and the heater, i don't know if that has anything to do with it

Any help would be great, Now the car is sitting in the parking lot with a dead battery

Thanks

The alternator is not charging the battery. How did you test the alternator to conclude it's good? In/out of the car? If the alternator has sufficient output, I would suspect the wiring and/or connectors between it and the main fuse block.

how would i test if the alternator was truly bad? the reason i assumed the alternator was good is that, the battery would only usually die if the car sat for a couple days, other wise the car would stay charged, but today the whole car actually stalled from a dead battery, so i have no idea

I would say that its a combination of the both. Your alternator could be getting weak so its not giving it a full charge and your battery could have a bad cell. You can easily get bad cell from when a battery is constantly drained and recharged. I would say take your car to like Auto Zone and they test all of it for free. They test the alternator while its still on the car and the same thing for the battery.

when I first got my 90 dx, the alt would charge only if none of the accesories were on. When anyone of them were on, then the batt would die. Changed the alt and the problem was solved.
