i think a b16 is a great buy.. a couple grand maybe less wit h a good deal...compared to like a $7,000 b18 or a 10 grand f20..so ya all in all less hp but a great investment for your non-drag oriented civic

 

I like the b16 a lot... especially when you have it sleeved, put some pistons in it and pressurize the whole thing.

Besides, its easy and cheap to get a spare block when you blow your first one up.

 

i lik the sound of vtec on the b16; other than that. i drove my friends b16; to me it lacks the torque if i compare it to my 1.8. also it would help in the long run that .2 liters more. i mean what if u needed a little more to be satisfied. but me im never satisfied.
