good deal or not?
its a 95 GSR black 98000 miles, $8900 good deal or not?
and if its a good deal what should i check to make sure the engine is in good shape? and would there be anything i might need to replace to be able to start tuning it.

Man, I've seen 99 GSR's with less miles for similar prices. I actually saw one on e-bay for less than 8000 with like 80,000 miles. Keep looking my man! That's NOT a good deal. The seller may get that for his car, but don't be the sucker to pay that for a 95 with almost 100k.
However, to ease your mind....
I've known of 'Tegs to run to 200,000 miles or more. So, NO, I wouldn't be worried about looking at a car with that mileage. However, timing belts, etc should have been changed. When you DO find one that you're seriously considering, take it to an Acura dealership to have them do their inspection. It's the same inspection they do for their certified used cars and costs $70. It's a small amount to pay for peace of mind about the mechnical soundness of your car. Look at it this way, if there IS something wrong, you just paid $70 to save yourself a lot of money and headaches messing with it.
Good luck with your hunt, man. I looked for 6 months and finally found my car. I got a 99 GSR with 63,000 miles for $8700. So, yes, they ARE out there! Happy hunting. Scour e-bay motors, your local and surrounding Classefied ads, and such websites as Autotrader.com (that's where I found mine).
