Default lowering question...

i'm about to purchase gc's with kyb agx's and ingalls camber kit (theres no changing my mind by the way) and my hatch will be slammed (2.5 all around prob.) yes i know the shocks will prematurely wear but its worth it.. will i need to shave wheelwells at all? and if so does anybody know how to do this?? thanks in advance..

well it depends on how wide your wheels and tires are... if you have 17's that are 7in. wide you will probably have to do what is called "rolling the fenders" it is where a body shop will have to fold under that lip on the fender so that you have an extra half inch of wheel space

you will have to roll your fenders if you are using anything bigger than the stock wheels.

You might not have to roll the fenders at all. It really depends on the wheel and tire combo you are using. I ran an 18x7 wheel with a 215/35/18 with the car dropped slightly over 2.5" and there was no rubbing in the rear. I had to remove the front fender liners but I didn't rub the fenders. My friend has a '00 hatch with 17x7.5 Rota Subzeros with a 205/40/17 and he doesn't rub front or back. His car is dropped at least 2.5" with Skunk2 and AGX's. Both of these wheel combos ran a 45 offset. Any offset 40 or lower will require you to roll the fenders in the rear and they will probably rub in the front. Hope this helps.
