i got a 94 sol with the original b16 supercharged...i have had the apexi for a while now, and from the dyno, it is to my knowledge that vtec should open at 4500 rpm. But every once in a while the check engine light comes on and it says vtec pressure valve or something..i'm pretty sure its doing that because vtec isnt supposed to open until normal operating temp, but the apexi unit overrides that, and opens it even when its cold, so i took the vtec point up to 5100, and its fine now. I wanted to ask you experts what to do....and how i can fix this problemo....????

 

you also might be low on oil.....it shouldn't throw a code because you have lowered vtec....and i would raise vtec to at least 5k....you don't need vtec at 4500
