Not mine, but a friend I ran into recently. He had a 97 that he used to road race all the time. He had it parked right out front of his work in westchester when 3 guys pulled up in a van, got out, and one of them took his car in broad daylight. there was more than one witness and it turned out one of the guys applied for a job at the building next door. What a f@#ing genious. The car turned up in Yonkers, but she was too far gone...
I am going to his house on saturday to pick up the stock wheels along w/ some other parts. I feel bad.

You are probably right. Then we will be going to jail for protecting our property. How does that figure, you can buy it, maintain it, but if someone tries to take it, you are SOL on what you can do. You are allowed to stand there and watch, but if you harm them in any way, you will be brought up on charges, and if for some reason, you kill them, you will go to jail. No matter what it is, car, jewlery, money, you name it...

One thing I really like about Egypt, You could leave your video camera on your towel while you went for a swim. No worries about someone taking your stuff. Because they don't want to lose a hand for it.

Sorry to hear about your friends loss, but this is precisely the reason I just bought a Golf 1.8T. I am sick and tired of living in fear of f*cking Honda/Acura thieves! My '96 GSR was stolen and never recovered, and my wifes TL had its HID's stolen twice! I've ******* HAD IT!!!

My R is going to stay in long-term hiberantion. At least till this **** dies down, which wont be for a few years. Until then I will only be driving my R on rare occasions. Owning an ITR in the NY/NJ/CT area makes you a target! Plain and simple, doesn't matter who you are or who you know. If you slip up at the wrong second your R will become another statistic.
