Check the bulbs, when the low beams go out they can cause wierd issues. Otherwise I would suspect your column switch.

Make sure you didn't pop a fuse tinkering around with your other wiring issues. Sounds like a crossed wire or bad column switch. Do you have indiglo guage faces?

when you turn it once, your dash and corners come on correct? well my corners don't come on. they only come on with lo beams.

the corners come on with the low-beams.. correct? if so... sounds like a module problem. The location of the module is to the left side of the dash near the centre console (very close to the gas pedal area), there is a cluster of 3 components: Shifter Interlock module, PGM-FI Main Relay and Daytime Running Light module (if you have a manual transmission then there will also be a starter cut relay as well), the DRL should have a 14 pin connector.

There is not any published information for repair of the module, once the diagnosis of a failed module the factory procedure is to replace the module, if you have a background in electronics it is possible to repair it using components from a place like Radio Shack

i kno on my 4th gen...i blew my dome light fuse...which i found out controls all the interior lights and one set of the corner bulbs, cuz i'm not sure about 5th gens, but in 4th gens, there are two bulbs in each corner, when u turn the switch once, they both came on, but when my fuse blew, only one set came on, the ones that blink....so maybe u should check fuse.
