Fram Oil Drain Plug?
does anyone have this, where you have to just stick the piece of hose into the plug, not even unscrew it from the pan, and it drains out? im considering getting one of these, just wondering if it has flaws
I'm interested in this topic!!!
So getting a plug where you can remove an inner bolt, and not ream out the oilpan.
anyone run into any problems with them?
would they prevent any harm to the oilpan...like stripping?

I think it's called SureDrain (www.fram.com), anyways
I have one of these. Not worth the $$$ IMHO. As someone already mentioned, when using the hose it's worthless, it drains way tooo sloow. Basically you replace your oil drain bolt with this valve that is only activated when you attach the little hose with spring clip inside it. It does has a nifty looking cover to protect the valve.
Looking back, I'd rather spend the $$$ on oil filters and drain plug washers.
