Default Possible to repaint engine bay w/out removing engine?

I was just curious if this was possible and/or how it is done? I was thinking that removing the p/s, radiator, and abs/brake system/hoses and just masking off the rest it would be possible. Has anyone done this, or had this done? How much do you think it will cost?

No. Paint gun won't fit and be at very wrong angles. Just take the motor out.

What do you do with all the various things left in the bay after engine removal, like brake lines, etc...? just mask them or what?

Mask them or remove them..

I'd just remove everything possible.

I heard MOB works paints the bay with the motor still in place for an extra fee. I am assuming they mask everything in site.

yea thats along the lines of what i was thinking. remove power steering resivoir/hoses.. remove clutch resivoir/hoses... remove brake resivoir, abs module, battery and respective hoses/lines.. but the fuel lines i'll just mask off.. i think its manageable, the only problem is that it would be going from red (current) to white. that might make it a little more complicated

oh, and yea i wish mobworks was close to me

in the amount of time it would take to mask off every line, wire, hose, and part of your engine, tranny and driveline, you could have pulled the engine out. Upon doing so, you could detail the engine, and be able to paint the whole bay with much more ease.
