Default 94-97 interior vs. 98+

I did quick search and didn't find much; what I'm trying to figure out is....

There's 94 GSR that I might be buying within the next week or so. For some reason, the interior (grey cloth) just looks dated. That's the best way I can put it. When I look at the newer ones, I don't get that feeling. Can anybody tell explain what exactly the differences are?

The 98+ has basically the same interior, maybe it's the black color rather than the grey on the 94 that makes it look newer? Basically what I'm looking to do is update the interior right away, but I don't really have the money to get a full ITR interior right now (so no Recaros). Any suggestions?

interior seating changes that i have noticed are the cloth designs of the seats, the thickness of the seats, and the size of the front seats. from my experience in my friends 95 integra and my 98 integra, i think 94-97 integras had thicker padding in the seats. also, the front seats in the 94-97 integra feel more snug and hold you in palce, whereas the 98-01 seats seem like the back cushion of the front seats and wider and it feels not as snug. from my experience

I know what you mean... not only is the 97-97 cloth grey, but it's also had more time to fade. A big factor for me is the color of the carpet. You can get black ITR carpet from PasswordJDM for $69 and black ITR door panels for $99. That would be the first step.. then get some black seats and you're all set.

Anybody every tried dying the seats black? I'd be afraid of it rubbing off on clothes, but I think a waterproof spray would take care of that. There was a set of S2000 seats already modified to fit a DC on ebay the other day at $500 with one day left, and no reserve .

Aside from that, there were no changes in the actual dash at all? I know there are very minor differences in the gauges, but everything else is the same?

the 94-97 seats are thinner than the 98-01 seats for sure... the headrests are a lot thicker on the 98-01 than on the 94's also. On 98's you will also notice that it has two adjustable ***** on the left side of the driver seat which is an addition i really liked
your 94 clothe is not oly old.. but its grey.grey just looks kinda faded to me, and doesnt go with the black dash very well.get some black cloth...any year 94-01 and also to make your car look ten ti8me newer get some new floor mats.. Not the cheap fake type R ones either that are on ebay ,lol. get some oem ones from factory.. or try and get the us spec itr ones that are new. trust me just the black seats and the floor mats will make your car look more like a 00 rather than a 94. One thing that bugs me to this day about my 94 and my 95 integras is the emergency brake chrome plastic **** on the ****.. its always peeling off and makes my car seem old on the inside ,lol. oh well.
