JDM H22 pulleys
My crankshaft pulley broke. So, I was thinking of going ahead and upgrading to an UNORTHODOX kit. However, my Prelude is my everyday driver, and reliability is very important to me. Would I be smarter to go back stock... at least for the crankshaft pulley? Any ideas? Thanks.
Also, does anyone know for sure if OEM H22 pulleys will match the JDM ones? Cause my A/C, alternator, and inside crankshaft pulley are all 5 spoked... meanig it would take a 6 ribbed belt. I thought this could be one of the differances with JDM and OEM.
If you can replace the crank it would be wise to replace it with an OEM one of the same exact kind if possible. An undampened unorthodox crank pully is hard on crank bearings. I don't know what you mean about the diffrence between JDM and an OEM part that is made in japan. Did you mean the crank pully came off a JDM motor compared to a USDM one?
No they are not the same. The JDM ones have one less rib on it, atleast mine did. Had to switch the JDM one for my H23A1, because it had one rib missing on the air/alt part of the crankpully. I should of taken the A/C out then, but oh well.
