Whats even more funny is the person suggesting that if he wants to upgrade, he should look into an rsx-s.

(fine print: this post in no way bashes the rsx-s or any of its owners, perspective or otherwise. It only states, in my opinion, that from a performance standpoint, the transition from an R to a RSX-S is essentially a downgrade and not an upgrade......I hate the legal fine print)

What makes that thread even funnier is that all of the Nissan owners on the Nissan forum would much rather have an R to their own cars.

JN who wouldn't trade his R for almost anything...especially a Nissan...Skyline excluded...

bang for the buck in the SE-R V Spec? Where? The bang for the buck in the hp category, and this is just opinion, will be in the Neon SRT-4.
Overall bang for the buck in the sport compact market, not sure, but the Sentra SE-R V Spec does not come to mind.
And to trade an ITR for one of those... *remember Jason, to each their own*

What is funny about the thread on the Nissan forum is that EVERYONE has told him not to do it.

That is pretty funny He obviously doesn't appreciate the car, he should get rid of it for something else IMO.

man its bang for the buck for him cuz in Canada a base WRX is $38k plus taxes.
We take a hit because of the dollar, and when 80% of our income goes to direct and indirect taxes cars like the WRX are for the priveledged.

However I do agree that the SE-R is not a competitor at all to the ITR, and if I was this bud, I would keep the ITR until I could afford an upgrade to a more desirable car.

The STi/Evo comments are completely useless, the price gap is just too much and makes any arguements too broad to even bother with....

"I'm thinking about trading X $21,000 car for Y $21,000 car..."
"No way man! you should buy this $36,000 car! You're dumb"
