Default stereo security code

Hi, I am new here, and have just purchased at auction, a 1993 Honda Accord SE. Unfortunantly, there were NO manuels with the car. I have gotten the code for the stereo, but no instructions on the steps to put it in. I do know that I only get 2 tries before having to wait. Can anyone help me with this? It would be very much appreciated .

Thanks,
Terri

Turn key on, turn stereo on, should say "CODE", enter code using corresponding buttons. If it doesn't come on right away, push the AM/FM button.

Also make sure you have the right code. I can't imagine you didn't already try turning the radio on and it says 'code' and you entered the code. It should be a 5 digit code. If it's not working, maybe it's a wrong code? You can check if you write down the serial, model, and the other number written on the bottom of the deck to your local dealer along with your ID and sometimes they even want to see your car's registration. Just take it there and ask them to find out your security code. Make sure it's the right code.

why the freak did you have to pay them to do it? i just drove my car to the dealership, wrote donw the numbers on a paper, walked to the parts department, handed it to them...in a couple minutes he was back with the security code, i walked back in my car, entered the code and i was set. no fee...
