You can't really.

Even with locks, you can easily get past them.

Get 4 sets of wheel locks. Always park in a good spot. Get an alarm and keep a baseball bat next to your bed.

I feel for your friend - here's how someone left my car a few months back.

thieves will resort to anything possible to get what they want. i question their morality ALL THE TIME. get a job (mow lawns, fast-food, or even one of the pennysaver jobs) and save up for whatever the hell you want to steal.

If your insurance covers it, then stock rims would be nice to get stolen. You can then upgrade

But then on the other hand, all theives need to have their hands cut off!

oh man i feel him.. gosh i have the same year car he does..this picture brings up bad memories. this was exactly how i found my car. Jacked up on a block and a log with my internals stripped out and my rims messing. To make it worse i had just purchase some new tires 2 days before also..I have an alarm now and i keep my lug lock hidden. Thieves are stupid. Trust me you'll probaly see the guy rolling around with them soon.

serious.......i also know some other people who's cars were left on their rotors!!! anyways, only way to prevent rim theft is park your car in a well lit area, wheel locks that not too many people have, no flashy rims, tilt sensor on your alarm!

It seems wheel locks are pointless. I went to get my tires fixed one day. Forgot my wheel lock at home . He said, if you want we can just break it off.

They ain't much good if you can just break em off.

I had my stock rims ('98 GSR) stolen. Insurance only covered the refurb price, but I still got over $1,600 which I spent getting 16" Kosei K1s, Dunlop SP9000s (205/45) .... and of course, wheel locks and a good alarm! Insurance guy and police both said that if someone ever wants my wheels - even with wheel locks, they'll take them. A tilt sensor is nice to have though, and two different sets of wheel locks may make it a little harder. Picture below taken a couple weeks back:

If it did happen, which I'm sure it a good chance. How much would you normally get if someone took a set of 00 GSR blades? Aren't they a few hundred a peice new?
