Default 98 Civic DX exhaust manifold

hey guys, what's up? I've never posted in the Civic forum cuz I have an Accord but I need your help. We are removing that crappy cat/exhaust manifold out of the DX and replace with with a set of DC Headers, high flow cat and greddy EVO. All the pipinig is out but I can't get the manifold out. To me it looks like I might have to remove the radiator. I might be wrong but any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Well I didn't have to remove the radiator when I took mine off. But if you have to, I don't think it will be much of a problem.. all you will have to do is drain your coolant obviously, which isn't a bad maintenance thing to do. Anyway, mine is a 99 DX and it came off with out removal of the radiator. Maybe clearances are different from your year to mine, i don't know.

Just remember to extend the O2 to the new place on the manifold, if your running the stock OBD2 ecu and all that.

EDIT: Oh hello.... didn't sink in that you have in ACCORD....and I have a civic.. even though IT SAYS IT RIGHT IN YOUR BEGINNING LINE!! hahah

yeah unfortunately he's running obd 2

yuck

we have the extension for the sensor which came with the headers so thats cool but we are gonna have to trick one of the o2 sensors since there's only one o2 sensor slot in the headers.

i'll check it out today.. maybe cuz it was late and snowing out last night i couldn't see straight. LOL

thanks

yeah, or you could just get an EX cat like I did and put the second O2 in there and then it will work fine with no ecu mods
