Default Tranny Rebuilt

i finally got my car back. its been in the shop for about 3 weeks now. funny right? Finally i got it back last night but i'm so low on cash i couldn't even take it to the car wash. Since it was in the shop so long, there was dust all over the car. it felt so good to be driving again. for those 3 weeks, i was contemplating with myself if whether or not i should sell my car and get a different car, but after drive my accord again, i'm almost definatly sure that i'll be keeping it and doing my h22a swap in the spring or early summer. i'll keep you guys posted. just wanted to let everyone know how much i love accords.

Did you tranny fail or something? I drove around a good 6 months with a slipping tranny, before my swap and I'm sure it would have lasted another 6. Cause dropping coin on rebuilding is a waste if your planning on a swap soon. I would sell the car while you can, cause I have not talked to many people who have a had good experiences with rebuilt Honda trannys.

why even bother selling your car and getting another if you are doing a swap? Might as well get the h22a with tranny and the LSD.

might as well buy a lude, I know I was going to but resale with a slipping tranny isn't good and I wasn't going to bend over and take it in *** on a trade in.

mine car was in the shop for about 2.5 weeks when my tranny went out. When i got it back a mouse was living in my car. Make sure that you don't have any uninvited guest in your car.

oh great. haha. well i did a thorough check of my interior when i got it back and i havn't found and living organisams, so i think clear of that issue. i'm gonna go back in like 2 or 3 days to have it tuned and see if anything needs adjusting.

I just got my car out of the shop for a transmission rebuild. I was trying to wait until I did the engine so I could save a little money, but it was slipping all the way to redline in two gears. I bought one of the "Level Ten" transmission kits for the rebuild. The guy at my shop told me it was the best kit he had seen and well worth the money.

The rebuild was $1600, but they knocked off $200 because I supplied my own rebuild kit. The transmission kit from Level Ten was $325 shipped. With the auxillary tranny cooler and the synthetic fluid, I've got about $1950 in the rebuild.
