If your plugs ae in front your engine has vtec
if your stamp says d16z6 your engine has vtec
if your engine has a vtec solonoid your engine has vtec

i think that 92-93 d16z6 valve covers dont say vtec

i have a 95 ex and mine says vtec

 

check your block numbers....also is there a GREEN clip near the distributor? if so you have the sohc vtec yo

 

only the 94-95 Sis said vtec

 

not to jack the thread, but anyone know someone who's selling the d16z6? I have cash at hand. pm me or e-mail me with any info.

 

All 92-95 Si models have vtec... They came with the D16z6 motor which does not have VTEC on the valve cover. I believe the later 96+ D16Y8 came with VTEC embossed, but not the earlier years.

If your engine code is D16z6...it's Vtec, as mentioned before.

I have a DX hatch w/ a Z6...wanna trade ? It's weight reduced ! (I wanna sunroof)
