Default Question with T1R B-pipe~~~~~~~~~

I just installed T1R B-pipe and T1R test pipe.

It rattles at low rpm.. sounds like it's hitting metal.. but not sure if it does.

sounds comes from the "middle" of the pipe. where the resonator(spelling) is...

is it normal or mine is installed wrong?

it's hitting against heat shields. take your plyers and bend the heat shields just BEFORE and around the S-pipe. i believe it rattles at the flanges of the S-pipe and the mid section of the b-pipe.

had the same problem, bent em, problem solved.

could also be the hangar.

Mine rattles like pennies in a jar when I hit the gas., and at idle. Gets annoying when you're having that in-car pillow talk with your lady right before you drive her home.

Edit - my bad, I thought you were talking about your Spoon N1 again for some reason. scratch the hangar comment

I took some sheet metal shears and cut about 4-5 inches off of the rear shield at the bend. Doesn't rattle at all now.

Just bend it with your hands. Takes 1 minute and stilll functional.

Easy: use your imagination.

Bend AWAY from the b-pipe so it does not hit the b-pipe.

You can also grab it with a pair of pliers and kinda roll/bend it up.

I took out all the heatshield on my car when I install the Toda header, T1 B-pipe and Spoon N1.

I live in Greenville , SC and the temperature here in the summer gets to maybe 100 at the most. In the car maybe 100-115. The center console (carpet and shifter) gets warm and that is it. AC what is that will I use it sometime but 50% of the time I just roll the window down.
Where do you live and how hot does it get in the summer?

It doesn't really get that hot if you remove the heatshields.

people with T1R B-pipe or any other kind of cat back with Test-pipe that is resonator on it. how loud does your R sounds?

Right now it's really loud.. I think it's almost not streetable at all.

at rpm 3-4 that's the loudest.. damn it. too loud.

is it the test pipe or the b-pipe that is making my R that loud?

when i down shift and rev-matching it almost sounds like open header.

is it normal to be that loud or is there something wrong with my setup?

thx

I just installed my t1r b-pipe and have the same problem. It was too dark to do anything about it. I think i'm going to have to cut some of the heat shield off, i won't know untill i get under it tomorrow and can see what going on.
