also, go to the dealer and get a real service manual. theyre like 65 bux, but its oem honda , mang
Either way- $70 or $80 its worth it.
Breakdown on manuals.
Haynes- for Civic, Del Sol. Non specific as to bolt locations, tq specs, illustrations, etc. Basically a cheap manual for needing a basic idea of what to do.
Helms- in depth, every specification you can think of. Most importantly, exact locations for parts, illustrations, and directions for each car, engine.

go to the factory and ask where they get theres. They guy( or gal) Will give you a phone # or website were you can get them. The difference is, the cheepo ones show basic maintence and wiring. The real ones show you absolutly everything there is to know about that model of car! I mean everything...
The Helms Manual is the OEM Honda manual. After you get it out of the box, the only thing you see is "Honda". Helms is the printing press Honda contracts with in the US to print their owners and service manuals.
At least no one recomended a "JDM Manual" in kanji ... that'd have sent me over the edge. Chilton and Haynes suck, Helms is good. Thats the difference, dont make this harder then it has to be .... you get what you pay for, Chilton and Haynes are like a paint by numbers book, compared to a creative painting book ... if you wanna learn to match the red's to the #2's buy a haynes, if you wanna have a valuable resource buy a helms
my brother just got his copy and i got a helms for pen15teamjdm for xmas. imo i think its a great xmas give. and plus it is like a bible for ur car.
