What made you feel the need for a Quaife in your ITR?

 

I have driven with both, Our shop car has a ITR tranny, JDM FD and Quaife in it. there is no noticable differance when launching or driving hard on the street. I have yet to take the Quaife on the track, so that might be differant? If my stock diff ever craps-out a Quaife will go in, but stock is fine for now.

what are the advantages to the quaife over the stock lsd. i always thought the stock one was pretty good. at least for the average driver like myself

 

the only advantage i know of is that the quaife is a 2 way differential, while the stock one is 1.5

The Quaife is NOT a two way LSD.

 

They have a lifetime warranty even if you race , but there is no reason to get one unless yours is broken (assuming you own an ITR). If you have no LSD or yours is broken, go with the Quaife. I thought they are both 1.5 way

 

Stronger ring gear, which is the primary weak point in the OEM LSD.
