I believe its some government mandated stuff for all cars after a certain year to run...I bet you'd find a load of stuff just by typing stuff on yahoo or whatever...let us all know and keep us arrogant haughty zealots informed

OBD 1 has a 4 wire heated O2 sensor(Compare to 1 wire OBD0)
The crank sensor outside the distributor.(located behind the front pulley)
Inside the distributor,the trigger as 24 teeth compare to 16.
The injectors are saturated compare to peak and hold.(No more resistor box)

This what I know so far.

OBD= 0n Board Diagnostic (started by C.A.R.B.)
obd 0= very simplistic capabilities regarding diagnosis(simple codes)
obd 1= only slightly more advanced but added communication between scan tool and ecu therefore adding the ability to check sensor inputs in realtime.
on hondas obd 1 started with the 92 models. primary difference was the addition of the heated O2 sensor to most models. some models changed injector type(but not all at that time) and the distributor sensors were a little more precise.
obd 2 came along in 96 for most hondas. this brought standardized error codes for most obd2 cars(not just hondas) and quite a bit more things monitored via the ecu including fuel tank (and evaporative emission) integrity, misfire detection, EGR flow, and catalytic converter operation(that second O2 sensor). any other ????
