Default skunk2 IM on b16

what would u guys say? a couple places that I read says the IM on the b16 is the biggest bottleneck... you think this would make a pretty noticable difference?

If you can find an ITR one, get it.
You should be able to find it for less used, than a new skunk2 and the ITR is as good.

Skunk2's manifold is good for a B18C1 where you cannot put a Hype R one.

Neither the Skunk2 nor the ITR has ben shown to be beneficial on a basically stock B16A.

exactly, but the more mods you have (cams, head work) it will help out.

i would place the bet that the skunk2 intake mani on a stock b16 would hurt performance since it places the power band in a different area where the stock b16 doesnt have the power.

i got a b16 with valvetrain and junk2 intake manifold (stage 2 cams)
personnaly if i would do it again id get the ctr cams and itr mani, doesnt net the same power but theres a more broad power band. and its also cheaper.
but i personally think the itr and skunk2 are so similar in design that they are virtually the same and produce the same hps up to motors making 180hp. for turbo cars this is of course different.

paraphrase: get ctr cams and itr mani and traction bars and beat the bloodysnot out of it then put ctr pistons in it down the road

on the skunk2 mani i had to change to the integra fuel rail and cleverly route the thorttle cable and also bypass the coolent hose thing. besides that i think that was all. . ..

derek
