Default d16a6 tranny question...

I'm going turbo on my 88 si next month, building the motor for lotsa boost, but i was wondering if anyone knows how much torque/hp the stock 88 tranny can take? I'm looking to see around 200 ft/tq...if the stock tranny won't work, what suggestions do you have for tranny swaps?

Traditionally the weak link in the d-series trannies is the differential. The answer of course is an aftermarker lsd. Kaaz and Quaife are the two of choice. As far as what kind of hp they will handle. I am not real sure.
