First I did run a search but couldn't really find what I was looking for.

I'm swapping a b16a2 into my car at the end of the month and I'm going to redo my exhaust. I'd like to go with the ES Oval and stright piping (test pipe and no resonator). I've heard this set up on a video that SIINSI did but he's got a b18c5, it sounds amazing with that stright pipe set up and the ES Oval.

So my question, will I get a similar sound from my b16 with a stright pipe set up? I don't want any buzzing or farting noises coming from my car.

The B16A wont sound just like the B18C5, the 1.8's have a deeper, meaner sound i think. The B16's sound a little more raspy than a 1.8.

 

If you get a mandrel bent exhaust, like 2-1/4" and a muffler with a large diameter tip, it'll give you a nice, low tone...you may want to get a resonator though, so you dont sound like a plane flying by to the car next to you. All Vtecs are LOUD.
