Default 1991 CRX Si swapping to a DOHC ZC Questions

Hey Everyone -

I'm a nubie to this site.

I have a 1991 CRX Si. I've had 2 blown head gaskets (I'm assuming its warpped by now) and am looking to buy and swap to a DOHC ZC motor. My question(s) to all you would be, what can I use from my Si when I do the ZC swap? Clutch, transmission, exhaust manifold, alternator, etc??

One more thing, anyone know of a good reputable place to purchase a DOHC ZC from that's close to CT?

The car has 160k on it so I'm thinking 'tranny rebulid' while its out.

Any help/info you can offer is MUCH appreciated!!!

The ZC is the easiest swap out there. It's a direct bolt in. Most of the ZC parts come from the 86-89 integra dohc motor, but I'm not sure about the clutch. You can use you stock transmission, axles, etc. Since you have an Si, you only have to change a few wires on the distributor. Do a search using archived topics in the future. I'm sure you can get some really good info on this swap, because it is the most common one for our cars.

mainly everything on the d16a6 motor will bolt on to the zc, this applies for wiring as well.
use you stock tranny, clutch, alternator, all ac stuff, ecu, distributor, all wire & plugs should plug and play. shouldn't take a newbi first timer swaper more than 8 hours.
