rod bearing question

Default rod bearing question

when i build up my new block for my turbo project and i replace the rod bearings should i use gsr bearing, type r, civic si? do they all use the same size rod bearing? would there be any benefit from ls rod bearing to si, gsr, type r?

Honda has different sized bearings. So you have to check which ones you'll need.

Just as an FYI, Honda doesn't make any oversized bearings, so if you're cutting the crank, you can't use Honda ones. I used Clevite in my case.

gsr rod bearings are color coded. there are different ones on different motors..not just a one size fits all deal.

goodgrief why would you cut the crank? wouldnt thaqt weaken it? just get a lighter forged crank

so i have to get the rod bearing specifically for a B18A1 block, i would think all B series cranks would have the same "size" rod bearings
