This idea used to float around the old e30 bmw boards and it worked on those valve covers. Goes like this: paint the whole valve cover, put some sandpaper on the bottom of a block of wood and sand down the raised lettering to the metal. I dunno if it'll work on hondas but I thought maybe someone would.

 

yea ive not personally done that one but i have heard of people doing it, along with a wire brush

Just so you know, this has been covered a zillion times. If you want to find a good way, run a search uin this forum or in Appearance/Cosmetic for "valve cover" and Im sure youll find a ton of posts
