Radius rod hitting oil pan?

Default Radius rod hitting oil pan?

i know my oil pan wasnt like this before.....how can this happen?
91 si with b16 & hasport mounts.....bushings are all in good condition....radius rod bolts and nuts are all tight..... what could it be?

your castor might be out of spec. try getting an alignment done.

Castor is non adjustable on 4th gens. More than likely just the mounts. On lowered cars, the passengers side radius arm will sometimes contact the tranny casing too.

it doesnt look like the radius rod make that dent, it just doesnt look like the right angle. maybe you hit something under the oil pan which cause it to wrinkle in that way

why?
Because the polyurethane inserts are slowly getting eaten up, and they are new mounts. Same thing is happening to my mechanics car, the rear Hasport mount polyurethane is mostly all gone and it happened about 2-3 weeks after he installed them....

Get some hcp mounts and you will be much happier=p I havent had any problems with mine!!!

I think Lamchop0000 is right...it doesn't look like its the rod that made the dent, there is about a 1" and a bit of clearence. The rod will move up and down with the suspension but for it to move left and right you must have a bent or broken control arm or cross member. Either the motor moved over to the left which doesn't make sense as you would have to have 2 fubar mounts. Or the pan got hit from the bottom and buckled...just my opinion though...maybe I'm wrong.
