Default Mugen Twinloop exhaust questions....

The answer may be obvbious to some...but not to me!! I figure more ppl would know the answer to these in the R forum...

Can I get custom 2.5" mandrel bent piping to fit on to a mugen twinloop exhaust if I were to just buy the muffler??

Also, would a carsound cat w/ 2.5" inlet and outlet with JDM 4-1 be good for this setup??

For a car thats relatively stock right now would 2.5" be too large????

thanks for the help.....

If it's "custom" I assume that means you can get whatever you want right?

The only thing is that the Mugen is 2.38" so it would have to step down at the muffler.

well i was thinking of just taking it to a muffler shop and having them make some custome piping for me as i can only get the mugen axleback...

would it be better to get 2.38" piping instead?...how would the cat and JDM header relate to the smaller B piping??

2.38" will be fine for 160-170whp.

hmmm.. i think 60mm is enough for that type of hp, i think dc sports makes similar exhaust, don't know about the price or specs. From what i know, its better to have exhaust expanding diameter rather than tapering from 63.5mm to 60mm.

Mugen exhaust is good for 300hp at the motor as per KingMotorsports.
I have the Mugen exhaust on my car and I make over 260hp to the wheels.
Friend of mine makes 270+hp to the wheels with mugen muffler. When he disconected the muffler on the dyno it gained 1 peak hp.

Mugen is good stuff.
