Default tranny drift pin

Well I went to knock that sucker out and I couldn't find the #@! #@!$ punch I have just for doing this. But I found out if you use a 5" 3/8 bolt and take it to the bench grinder you can make a great punch. The bolt was threaded about an inch, Use the grinder to just grind off the threads. This will be the perfect size to use. It took a test swing then 2 good hits and that sucker poped right out. I thought I would share.

naw I just put the pin in the freezer the night before (girlfriend hates that) I find that it shrinks enough to pound it in after you heat the other part with a touch. CARE SHOULD BE TAKEN HERE be very careful to not burn up that seal in there.

I use a 3/32 or 5/32 <can't rememeber> deep well, 1/4" socket. Works like a champ.

For those who do swaps often.Snap-on does make a punch for that.I think its like a 5/16th with a 3/8th nipple or vice versa.Guaranteed to work everytime..only runs about 20 bucks.Well worth it.
