cut off switch
does anyone know anything about a cutoff switch in a Honda? from my understand on what I have read, this will cut your engine off, if/when you run your car low on oil. does anyone know anything about this? where it can be found?
I know about cut off switches for drag racers, but it cuts power to the battery in the event of a crash. It's also not automatic one of the safety crew has to flip the switch when they approach the vehicle and its normally mounted on the back bumper.
no this is nothing like that. from what i understood when i ways reading in my helms, is that if the car is ran with low oil, it will cut off the engine. or cause the car not to run. what brings this about is me beind a dumb_ss. i bottom the car (94 prelude) out and damage the underneat pretty bad. the oil light came on and i drove it home, before i got home the car died. no overheating, no metal on metal sound. so we think (because of the helms) that maybe there is a safety switch that cut the engine. but no one seems to know anything abou it...
oh well...
