GC coilovers
im looking into a set of GC coils. im looking for opinions and possibly of how they look on a ef slammed all the way. right now i have neuspeed race springs and they arent low enough. any idea of how much lower the GC's will be?

well the nice thing about GC's is that you can order custom length springs. so you could actually lower the car by a vyer significant amount.
the thing i always wonder is why people slam their cars. its doesn't help the handling and makes things break easier (axles, shocks, etc).

I agree with breaka_1_9. You can be pretty low and look good but your ride is shitty and bouncey and stuff do break easier.
As for breaking stuff, im lucky i havent broken anything yet (knock on wood 20 million times), i just need to stop spending money on stupid crap and get a camber kit for the front
The rears i did that washer camber correction thing, seemed to do the trick.[Modified by hondaspeed85, 8:12 PM 1/6/2003]
i used the search key and came up with few topics on it...didnt really get what i was asking for....and if EVERYONE SEARCHED 'like you" then there is no point in this forum because everything possible has been talked about....if you wanna give me a lesson on how to search be my guest jackass.

I am still wondering
WHY NOBODY USES THE ****** SEARCH KEY
try the road race forum, plent of GC users there.

i have 2 friends that have GC's almost lowered all the way. one is a GSR and one is an Accord and they have bent both axles from hitting pot holes. i also do not see the point to "tucking tires" for cars that are street driven. it also puts your suspension at extreme angles and will wear parts out fast.

plus, if you are unable to figure out how to use the search function, i dont really think you should be operating a vehicle on public roads...jackass

i know how to search but obviously not as properly as efzero.com....and also did you even look at half of the threads you sent me? no you obviously didnt because they nothing to what i was looking for
As others have said-SEARCH.
For the record tho it makes no difference if you have the GC or Skunk2 sleeves. The difference is the length of the springs and their rates. Another thing-the shocks most people use are NOT designed to be run with the car slammed to the ground. Want to spend real serious $'s-have them revalved and shortened. This and the fact that other suspension parts are going to get the worst of it should be reason enough to go with a street sensible ride height. I run 2 cars lowered and they both meet the SCCA 5" ground clearance rule easily. NO broken anything on either the Civic or CRX. My Prelude is on Neuspeed Sport springs and all I get are complements on the "stance" of the car.
Build a show car-fine and dandy by me-just remember that is what it is. Build a WC or Touring Car and that is what you get. Build a street machine incorrectly-and you will get....
