how do i put a B16 in a 87 CRX (Not an Si?)
I'm doing some research on the internet for putting a B16 in my 87 CRX. I have the 1.5L non-fuel injected motor. It's a carb running motor? How major of a swap is this? How bad is the wiring compared to a EFI one? I got a guy offering 500CND's to change the wirng over for me? WIll the wiring harness I have in the car right now adapted to the one for the EFI in my year? I'm totally lost. Hasport has wiring specs for an Si but not carb running. Can anyone help me out? Send me anything you got. Thanks!!!

Well, SCC had a great write up not too long ago. I was actually going to do that same swap, but the wiring was too much. You're going to have to get the wiring harness off of an injected car; as well as a new fuel pump.
not that its easy but its not gonna be like wiring in obd2...ur gonna need to get the whole harness from an si and some components from the harness the b16 will come with to wire everything up u may want to grab the si gauge cluster also cause ull need it cause u dont have a check egine light i dont think at least ull need the dash and the engine harness and lots of time theres a guy on superhonda dare i say that name here that did the mpfi swap on his carbed dx and succeded his name there is oldschoolcrx good luck
i would call hasport and ask their opinion but from my understanding you need the whole si fuel system. that means the tank, pump, and lines. there might be a way around it but i dont know it. ask hasport.
