do you have an aftermarket tach? and if so you'll need to wire it differently. also make sure you have power going to the rpm switch first.

yep power going to the summit switch, and using stock tach, with input going into the switch from the blue wire on disty

also, does the summit thing have to be inside the vehicle? mine isnt...

I used to have an MSD rpm switch a while back. I found that the blue rpm wire wasnt enough to trigger the unit, instead hook it directly to the negative connection on the coil.

Also, your summit rpm switch is probably made for an 8 cylinder. I dont know which one you have, but some rpm switches you can set for either 8, 6 or 4 cyl. If your unit is not selectible, your going to have to devide 1/2 the rpm.
For example: for 4400rpm, you would have to set the unit to 2200.

Im pretty sure i've got all that right, its still early

Might try flipping "all" the DIPs to the activation position. Then start the engine and rev it a little, you should be able to hear the VTEC noid click, if it's working. At least thats what my Summit did... However, I used the Ground Converter to make it negative for activation tho.
