EVO 6 and 6.5 are the best EVO's IMO!

I think the potential performance appeal far outweights any minor complaints about taillights or grilles or anything of the sort. I sat in it at the L.A. Auto Show yesterday and it seems like a pretty sweet car. It's hard to argue with big red Brembos, turbo power, AWD, and AYC wrapped in such an aggressive package.

At least the Lancer model is not such a pathetic joke anymore in the U.S., and we all have one more choice to consider in the market. Choice is good.

I don't mind the look, i still like the EVO 6 better though, but i like the opening they've given for the beautiful FMIC

I can't wait to see one on the streets wonder what they'll do stock in the 1/4mile and how they'll handle in the twisties

We're getting the AYC? in the other thread someone said we weren't...
Could have been me. In a big blurb on the car, C&D/R&T (not sure which one) said that the AYC and all those technological goodies would be offered later in the production run, as options. And we won't be getting the 6-speed, either. Ours will have a 5-speed...just what I read.

i think the cars looks pretty good, except for those lame a** tailights, whichever design engineer put those things on there, should be fired, and possibly prosecuted for killing, a potentially decent car.

I'm pretty sure the car is going to rawk.....Well, I better hope so. I've got one on order....selling the R for one in fact! My allocation is for a Yellow, large wing, NO sunroof model....lub them yeller kaas! huhu

Cheese~who hears the altezza-ish lights are easily swappable for EVO 6 or 7 lights...

I'd also be opting for the EVO VII front end swap before power adders...

Can't believe I'd be going against my own looks vs. perfromance grain...

Bahaha, I agree, the pontiac sunfire front end has got to go. And after reading the spec sheets on both the Evo and the STi they seem to be equal in almost every aspect?

I have to agree here. I was at the LA auto show saturday, and in my opinion, the car looked great. I too didn't like the taillights, but honestly, that is hardly an excuse not to buy the car. I wish I could have had a chance to sit in it, but the wait was too long.

There should be quite a bit of tuning potential in this car, but in my opinion, it is quite fast stock. All I need to see now is its reliability.

Turbo, AWD is very tempting, but I'll be holding on to my R for now.

Im planning on one in two years, when they give us the 6 speed and AYC and ACD. Just put in the regular lancer tail lights to fix the altezza problem.

I agree completely. I can't wait to check it out on Wednesday... however, I do not think we are getting the AYC to keep the costs down.. Still seems pretty sweet, and they're still keeping the majority of the goodies, if not all of them (most importantly, the power).

ACD = Active Center Differential

I wonder if APC is going to start selling "OEM style" taillights now for all the cars that are coming with factory altezzas . . .

Oh and the price sure wasn't bad either . . . what was it again, $28,900? Should sell well vs. standard WRX.
