Ok first off I have alredy done a nice amount of searching. but here is my problem.

I am looking to buy a car (thinking hf crx) with least options possible (thinking this will be less to break) and droping a ZC DOHC engine in there. Then buying some 15inch rota mugen knock off's and put them on there and being done. I am not looking for a racer just a car with good gas mileage, low insurance, and reliable for the next 4 years. This is to keep mileage off of my SR20det. Would it be better for me to look for a si crx due to ease of engine swap? I am looking for something that I can keep basic man. on and not have any problems? Please help!

a crx si is your best bet... super easy. and if you want it reliable.. change out the water pump, oil pump, t belt alt belt.. and all gaskets, and while its out.. get a new clutch also.. have fun

 

Well if you want it to be reliable for the next 4 years I would definately go completely through the whole motor if you decided to pick up a used ZC. Plus on top of that replace all of the bolt on parts as stated above and you should be good. Oh and an Si would be a lot easier of a platform to start with.

Hmm sounds good. If I dont go this route I will prob pick up the next newer body style civic dx 2 dr. or hatch. Thanks for the help fella'z
