99 accord swap??
hey whats up guys im from the EG forum and i was just wondering.......well my sister was lol.........she wants to know if she can swap any motors into her car she has the f23 in there right now and its a 99 accord 2 door 5 spd.........thanks alot
The h22a seems to be the easiest alternative. I would suggest something with more torque.. like the 2003 accord v6 engines. I dont know the engine codes, but they sure are powerfull.
Use the H22a or the H23 series, you dun want to switch to a v6, the J series. From wut I hear, they are a bitch to swap into a car that is already set for a I4

your best bet is to go with the h22a...It's expensive for the v6 and like other people said the engine is set up differently. you do lose about 34 pds of torque compared to the v6 both 200hp...but the h22a can rev higher. All in all an h22 accord will take a v6 in the quarter. If your interested RPM NYC.com can do your install. It's in queens NY And you can get complete h22a 97-up obd II for about $1850 + shipping.
Why do an engine swap. You could probably boost the motor for around the same price as the engine swap and have more power than that h22 motor. My F23 boost is fun. I love it. I can do around high 13's with just 5psi and stock exhaust. I am fixing to put on my new exhaust and hoping to get to mid 13's...The F23 blocks are strong blocks for boost. It is a closed block and it does great with boost. JUST MY .02

A 6th gen H22 swap is going to cost $$$.

give the F23 a mild boost instead of swapping the motor. It will be hella more fun to drive hearing the bov and will make more power than just an H22 swap. With mild boost, you should require minimal maintenane and no engine strain.
