Default Car Died on The Hwy ! Doh

Com'n back home last night from putting a turbo kit on a DelSol with a B16 ...I was crussing on the hwy home ....car just died everything went dead ..oil and batt light came on. I pull over call some friends and try and check my motor over. Everything looks good. No fuel leaks or plug wires off. Fuel pump is turning on but sounds like Im out of gas . I have to get it towed due to it being 20º outside and No flashlight or tools . 55 bux later Im home and leave it for the night. Wake up with 3 inches of snow on the ground ..I go outside take my first guess and take the dizzy off. My first choice was right!! The rotor screw had came out somehow and was rolling around in the dizzy. Made my day! Makes me wana go be a Honda-Tech ..Thought id share if your car ever dies! Dont tow it. Fix it on the side. A 10 min job cost me 55$. ...

What cuases a rotor screw to come out anyways ? Bumps and vibrations ?

Wasn't tight enough.... In the 2 years I've worked at Honda I don't think I've ever seen a car come with that problem....

Blue Locktite works best. Red can help too. Just torquing the hell out of it has yeilded success too, but then you take the chance of stripping the grub screw.

The real trick is to just pop the cap and check it/retighten it during your seasonal (or annual - Depending on your maintenence sched.) tune up.
