which is a sad thing b/c u drive a ITR.
Either something is wrong with the R or with the driver. I'm placing my bet on the driver. I can race a gsr with more mods than what your friend has in his SI and still beat them 5-7 car lengths just because I know my car and how to drive it. Thats even with my compression being fukked at 160 per cylinder.

i know this sight likes to flame people and i also know that i am a newbie, but i ahve taken the skip barber racing school and was 4th in the class, i know all about my car and how to drive, i also know that an Si should not be this close to me either, i have had this prob. before and when i took it to acura they said my clutch was sliping that is why i have the action one, but i am just scared that something is fucked up and no one can tell what it is also i am think about getting my money back on the damn 1000 dollar headers i just bought.

i have been to the drag strip and my best time was 15.02 but i had a 2.42 60 ft.
i cant get traction.
but my main concern is that i should smoke and Si even with intake and exhaust
when i first got my car i raced an si with i/h/e and i killed him but now i am right in front of them.

I'd say your car is fine and/or your friend is a little better driver. Which Skip Barber school did you do?
I would not worry to much about it. The lack of torque at low RPM is what's keeping you from winning by a bigger margin.
Remember what a great man said: "a win is a win...by an inch or by a mile it is still a win...".
If you took a Skip Barber training school, may I suggest that you put your ITR on the track to practice what you learn...that is where you will have the most fun with your car (you can invite your friend and his Si and see how well he can keep up with you
)

How do you know what the conditions where when he raced his friend? Maybe it was at 2am w/nobody else on the road. If you consider racing on the street in correct conditons(ie open road, good weather ext) "street racing" then you have a serious misconseption of how people drive around the world on a daily basis. Don't be so quick to judge people.
i took the skip barber school when i was 16 it was my b-day present from my parents and i drove a viper gt-s the whole time so it is kinda different from my itr. i dont street race often but my friend just got his exhaust and i was giving him a hard time about his civic, but i hope you guys are right i am dynoing it on fri when i put my header on. thanks for the imput.
